Pictures making rounds on the internet have shown the moment an Afghan mother hands her suckling baby over a barbed fence to a US soldier as a last resort to save her baby’s life.

This gives a glimpse into the feeling of hopelessness by Afghans since the takeover of the country by Taliban.
