Betinah Benson, mother of the secretary to the Bayelsa State Government Konbowei Benson, has been abducted, police said on Wednesday.
Mrs Benson was taken into captivity by gunmen clothed in military camouflage on Tuesday night at her residence in the Old Assembly Quarters, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital.
Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri is yet to issue a statement on the incident.
