Usifo Ataga: Family Reveals How Super TV CEO Was Killed

Isi Ataga, brother of the late Super TV CEO Usifo Ataga, has alleged that his brother was bound, gagged, and tortured to death.

The online television boss was found dead in a service apartment in Lekki, Lagos after being with a student of the University of Lagos, Chidinma Ojukwu.

Ms Ojukwu, 21, said she stabbed him twice in the neck and once in the stomach when he tried to have another round of sex with her forcefully.

However, the deceased’s brother in an article titled, ‘Who will speak for Usifo Ataga?’ said he was doubtful Ataga was killed by a single person.

“Usifo died a horrific death. He wasn’t stabbed two or even five times; he was stabbed multiple times. His hands were bound tightly and the marks were still all over his wrists, accompanied by evidence of torture and assault even as his corpse lay in the morgue,” he wrote.

“And no one in the entire building heard his screams because he was gagged. Let that sink in, he was bound, gagged and tortured!

“The now-viral video of the room with the deceased lying on the floor shows a room with blood-stained walls and floor, evidence of a ferocious struggle. One person could never have carried these out.”

His position followed a conspiracy theory being circulated on social media and in blogs that Ojukwu was contracted by her paternal uncle Izu to lure Ataga to bed. The theory further states that Ataga’s wife Brenda and Izu are lovers and that Brenda needed evidence of infidelity to get a divorce from Ataga. The theory also says Izu threatened to withdraw his sponsorship of Ojukwu’s education at UNILAG if she reneged on the plan.
