Amb. Bishop Emeka Nwankpa: A Pencil In God’s Hand
“Before I formed thee in the belly, I knew thee, and before thou comest forth out of the womb, I sanctified thee and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nation” – _Jeremiah 1:5_
The quote above aptly captures the amazing story and lifestyle of a man created to serve God, mankind and render selfless services to humanity. And he is no other than, Ambassador Bishop Dr. Emeka Michael Nwankpa.
He may not be the richest in the South East, neither is this cerebral man of God, called THE ORACLE OF GOD the most popular personality, east of the Niger or indeed Nigeria.
However, his humility, human resource development, and sacrifices to the needy and downtrodden has placed him as the first among equals.
Born on the 12th day of June, 1970. He is the first son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Nwankpa of Umuopara Umukalu Ntigha Ancient Kingdom, Isiala Ngwa North LGA, Abia State.
Bishop Emeka Nwankpa is a graduate of the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State. He also holds a Diploma in Theology and an ordained Evangelist, consecrated by a Bishop of the most high. He has served in the Lord’s vineyard for the past 28 years.
This amiable man of God is the General Overseer of Chapel of Faith International Bible Church, Worldwide, Onitsha, Anambra State. He does not only harvest souls for the kingdom of heaven, he also sings for God as a gospel artist with many credible albums to his credit.
He has through his non-governmental organization, Bishop Emeka Nwankpa Foundation helped thousands of people for the past 15 years and counting, not just through his yearly programme tagged “Widows Must Smile” but the Foundation also offers scholarship to the poor and needy both in secondary schools and territory institutions across the country and beyond.
The Foundation also embarks in free medical programmes, poverty alleviation for the youths, men and women through various empowernment templates in it’s kitty like :- grants, distribution of vehicles, motorcycles, wrappers, building of houses, distribution of rice and fertilizers, and other food items.
Bishop Emeka Nwankpa Foundation has a special love for the physically challenged and has been in the fore front in taking care of their needs.
Amb. Bishop Emeka Nwankpa is a devoted Ambassador of peace of the United Nations Peace Volunteers.
He sponsors yearly football competition for talent hunt and a proprietor of two football clubs; Ben Emeka Nwankpa Football club (Ben FC) and Bishop Nwankpa Queen Stars (Ben Queen Stars).
His interest in politics is based on his conviction that it will be a veritable tool and an instrument to drive development to the grassroots and deepen democracy in Nigeria for the benefit of all the citizenry.
Amb. Bishop Dr. Emeka Nwankpa was a pioneer member of the Action Congress, AC in Anambra State, the party later transformed into Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, which later gave birthd to the mega coalition and arguably the largest political party in Africa, the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Bishop Emeka Nwankpa is the man to beat in any tranpararent political process as he has overwhelming massive support from the grassroots – men, women and the youths.
In March 2019, Bishop Dr. Emeka Nwankpa returned to his state party structure after many years of political sojourn in Anambra state, in a celebrated glorious homecoming and gladly registered in his ward, Ama Asaa Ntigha, ward 7 wherein he immediately identified with the party both at the Local Government and Abia state.
He has remained a good and reliable Ambassador to the party and has since demonstrated his capacity as a good leader and team player by showcasing his philanthropist gestures by supporting the party in his Isiala Ngwa North LGA, both at the Local Government level and cutting across all the 10 INEC political wards and the 125 polling units as at the last count.
