President, African Development Bank (AfDB) Akinwumi Adesina on Thursday reveled in his grandpa time with his grandchildren as Nigeria celebrates Children’s Day.
Married to Grace Adesina since 1984, the 61-year-old and his wife spend time with their grandchildren virtually with the AfDB headquartered in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
In a tweet, Adesina said one of his greatest joys was having fun with his grandchildren.
“One of the greatest blessings and joys of my life is having fun with my grandchildren. They are just few months old and they love having fun with me on ‘Grandpa’s Video Chats!’” he wrote.
Children’s Day, which is celebrated in Nigeria on May 27 annually, is dedicated to celebrating children, and for adults to remember their childhood experiences.
The universal Children’s Day adopted by the United Nations is celebrated on November 20.
