Singer Temmie Ovwasa has revealed that she made out with her lesbian girlfriend in a church at age 17.
She spoke about this freely in a series of Twitter posts on Tuesday.
“I was 17 when I accepted an invitation to perform in a church in a town that was 6-7hrs away, just so I could see my girlfriend (asuu strike).
“The bus broke down in the middle of the road, that didn’t faze me.
“We made out at the back of the church after I performed,” the 24-year-old tweeted.
“God is Good,” she added gleefully.
Some of her fans responded with the assertion that God was indeed good.
Temmie Ovwasa has been known to pride in her queerness, although she admitted in an interview with Okay Africa that she gets scared sometimes.
Her album E Be Like Say Dem Swear For Me is one of the few openly gay music projects in Nigeria.
