A faction of the African Alliance Congress (AAC) led by its former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore on Monday clashed with that of the party led by Leonard Ezenwa.
The groups have both occupied the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja to claim ownership of the party.
Ezenwa, the party’s former national secretary, was suspended in 2019 by the faction loyal to Mr Sowore.
