Anambra CP, Kuryas Visits Mkpologwu, Omogho The new Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Mr Monday Bala Kuryas, has visited a police Checkpoint in Omogho in Orumba North.
The checkpoint according to earlier report by Igbere TV was attacked by unknown gunmen on Wednesday (today).
This is the second attack today in Anambra. The first attack claimed the lives of two police officers on duty.
Eyewitness told our correspondent that the gunmen who drove in Mercedes Benz 4Matic SUV, opened fire on the policemen who had been deployed on patrol in the area.
The attackers also set a police patrol van on fire.
The motive behind the attacks is unknown as at press time.
