Students of Ebonyi State University, EBSU, have vowed to pay a visit to the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company over hike in electricity tariff.
The students under the aegis of EBSU Revolutionary students leadership threatened to visit EEDC over exploitative bills in campuses.
Speaking with IGBERE TV correspondent, the students that expressed their anger revealed that the protest will begin at Ishieke campus.
“The EEDC doesn’t consider that we are students. Even if you manage to pay the bills, they will disconnect your light over arrears”.
“This is terrible. On Friday, we will pay them a visit in order to teach them that we are students not working class people”.
Another student said : “How can you be giving us bill of 50,000 naira and expect us to pay?”
“Where are we going to get the money? They have made us to be reading in darkness”.
