A former member of the House of Representatives Maikano Rabiu has passed on.
It was gathered that the former legislator from Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State died on Thursday of coronavirus-related complications at Kwanar Dawakin Isolation Centre in Kano.
Rabiu was a special adviser to former Kano governor Ibrahim Shekarau on economic matters.
A relative of the family Sanusi Tofa, who confirmed the death to The PUNCH on behalf of the family, said that the deceased would be buried around 2:00 pm.
He said the deceased, who died at the age of 72, left behind one wife, children, and relations.
