We Pay Herdsmen N100, 000 For Every Cow Killed In Clash With Farmers - Gov. Ikpeazu

Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu (Ph.D) has said the state government pays Fulani herdsmen N100,000 for each cow killed during farmers-herders clashes in the state.

The governor made the disclosure today during a live TV interview monitored by IgbereTV, adding that the same amount is paid to farmers whose farms are destroyed by stray cows.

The governor said the initiative is meant to gain the trust of the people and prevent them from taking the law into their own hands.
