Cabinet Dissolution: Gov. Ikpeazu Retains SSG, Commissioners for Justice, Information

Following the dissolution of Abia state executive council, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has directed that the previous announcement exempts the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr Uche Ihediwa, Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, and the Commissioner for Health, Dr Joe Osuji.

Governor Ikpeazu said they are to continue performing the duties of their office along with the Secretary to State Government, Barr Chris Ezem.

 

IGBERE TV had reported that Governor Ikpeazu dissolved the Abia State Executive Council and recalled his suspended Chief of Staff, Dr. ACB Agbazuere.

A statement made available to IgbereTV on Saturday morning by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sir Onyebuchi Ememanka, reads:

“The Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has approved the immediate dissolution of the State Executive Council.

All those affected by this dissolution are to handover all government properties in their possession, together with their handover notes, to their respective Permanent Secretaries.

The Governor expresses his deep appreciation to these men and women for their services to the people of Abia State, and wishes them well for the future.

The Governor has also approved the recall from suspension of his Chief of Staff, Dr. ACB Agbazuere. This recall takes immediate effect.”
