NSCDC gets new boss, hails Aregbesola

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), have a brand new Comptroller General in the person of Hillary Kelechi Madu.

Until his confirmation as the substantive Comptroller General, Hillary Madu was the head of operations in the Corps headquarters in Abuja. He also briefly took over from the retiring Abdullahi Gana in the acting capacity before his appointment was confirmed.

While confirming the appointment, the Honourable Minister for interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola charged the new corps helmsman to sharpen the way the corps performs its statutory duties and play its role well in a way that will enhance internal security in the country.

The Minister also advised the new CG to identify areas of quick intervention while he holds sway, encouraging him to take action that will boost the morale of the officers and men of the corps which at the same time counting his support to reshape the organization for optimal service delivery.

In his vite of thanks, the new CG thanked the Federal government for the opportunity given to him to offer his services and pledged to continue in the path of excellence so as to justify the confidence reposed in him.

Finally, he promised to rejig the system and personnel to ensure effective service delivery most especially in the area of Agro Rangers operations and protection of critical and national assets.
