Fred Udeogu : An Author Of Confusion

By Francis Nwaze

My attention has been drawn to a Social media post credited to the former Chairman of Abakaliki Capital Territory Development Board, Fred Udeogu in which he senselessly attacked the personality of Governor David Nweze Umahi and the Government of Ebonyi State.

According to Udeogu, the Government of Ebonyi State as superintended by Engineer David Nweze Umahi has not done well in projects as seen and heard in the media.

He also went further to allege that the Governor does not follow the scripts of the Ebonyi founding fathers.

Ordinarily, this response would not have been necessary but to save the discerning minds of the reading public from the nausea of trying to understand the State of mind of the wallowing author in his infantile publications.

The general public is at the vantage position to judge whether any Government has done more infrastructural projects and human capital development than that of Governor Umahi such that in less than six years on the saddle, Ebonyi State can boast of a state of art Shopping Mall, gigantic Christian Ecumenical centre, the ongoing construction of the International airport, the college of medicine, stretches of roads on rigid pavement, at least 10 completed flyovers and 6 ongoing, 3 industrial clusters, the waste to wealth recycling plant, reconstruction of the International market, construction of the new government house, construction of 4 different water schemes, reconstruction of the Ochudo centenary city, among other landmark projects, yet the mischievous Udeogu still has the effrontery to scold the Governor who has amassed varieties of laurels as best performing Governor in governance, urban and rural development, agriculture, infrastructure, etc.

It is more regrettable that the person in question is someone who has been in power since 2007 yet has never attracted any project or goodwill to his people.

It is also fitting to let the people know that the author, Fred Udeogu until his ill-fated selection as the purported factional acting Chairman of PDP had severally sent the Governor messages speaking fondly of him in appreciation of massive infrastructural projects in the State within so short a time, how possible is it that those projects he fondly talked about vanished immediately he became Acting factional Chairman of PDP such that he can not see any or does it mean that Udeogu suddenly became deaf and blind? your guess is as good as mine.

It is also imperative to let the public know that the said Udeogu was sacked by Governor Umahi as the Chairman of Abakaliki Capital Territory Development Board for acts of fraud.

Such is the pedigree of the man that is criticizing the unprecedented feats of the award-winning Governor.

It is however laughable how he alleged that Umahi does not follow the scripts of the founding fathers.

This is because, he forgot that Governor Umahi, being a child of God makes God’s guidance the springboard of his governance and no script can be more reliable than the one written by God almighty.

More so, Governor Umahi works hand in hand with the remnants of our founding fathers and their contributions are taken in high regard and always implemented.

Mr Udogu alleged threat of his life by the Governor is a joke. Udogu is displaying a show of weakness which is an indication of a person afraid of his shadow. He should grow up and focus on doing the right things and not the things that will attract the masses hate for him. Governor Umahi is focused and not distracted by the rantings of few unscrupulous and self-centered individuals whose anger against the Governor is his continued development of the state. He is the chief security of the state anddoesn’tt single people out with threats and Udogu is notand exception.

The General public is therefore urged to judge Udeogu fairly using available statistics and disregard his repulsive vituperations which represent the filthy mindset of a recyclable jobber.
