#EndSARS: Police Prevent Family Members, Journalists From Entering Court As Eromosele’s Trial Begins

LThe police on Tuesday prevented family members of an #EndSARS campaigner Eromosele Adene from gaining entrance into the Yaba Magistrate’s Court where his case is scheduled to be heard.

Journalists were also barred from entering the court premises.

The police said they were only trying to prevent a crowd from building up around the court.

Mr Adene is being charged with allegations of aiding and financing the #EndSARS protest in Lagos.

He was arrested on November 7 by the police and taken to Abuja days later. Adene was brought back to Lagos on Sunday.

His trial was earlier scheduled for Monday.

Adene’s sister Onomene has called for his release, saying he has a liver infection and that his continued detention was harmful to his health.
