Benue State Commissioner for Health Dr Emmanuel Ikwulono has passed on, sources in the Government House have said.
It was gathered that Ikwulono died as a result of complications from surgery.
“He attended the last state executive council meeting last week and subsequently went for the surgery. His death came as a rude shock this evening,” one of the sources told the news media.
Ikwulono was sworn in on August 5 to replace Dr Sunday Ongbabo who voluntarily resigned his appointment a week earlier.
