End SARS: Anonymous Confirms Hacking EFCC Website, Targets More

A cyber attack group known as Anonymous has hacked the website of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The group also hacked that of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

We observed on Saturday that while the INEC website had begun operating again, that of the EFCC is still offline.

A tweet by Anonymous read: “Official website of @officialEFCC has been taken down in support of #EndSARSProtest. CHECK HOST : https://check-host.net/check-report/df89d3bk838 TARGET : https://efccnigeria.org/efcc/ You should have expected us! #EndCorruptionInNigeria.”

The group says its move is in solidarity with the #EndSARS protesters.

The website of the Central bank of Nigeria had earlier on Friday night been taken down but restored. The CBN said its website was not hacked.

Meanwhile, the Twitter account of the National Broadcasting Commission was hacked on Friday.
