The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Lagos has arrested a man Ezekiel Emmanuel for allegedly defrauding an American national Collins Meresha to the tune of $7,000.
Mr Emmanuel who presents himself as Nollywood actor Frederick Leonard was arrested on October 8.
The EFCC said on Tuesday via Twitter that the suspect was arrested following a report by the chief security officer of Federal Airports Authority (FAAN) who found him in a heated argument with Mr Meresha on October 6.
No date has been announced for his arraignment in court.
