As the battle to curb the spread of Coronavirus continues, Nigeria has recorded 151 new cases of COVID-19 in 9 states and the federal capital territory, Abuja.
This was disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) via its official Twitter handle on Friday night.
The centre, NCDC revealed that the total number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria reached 59992 on Friday.
Lagos recorded 71 of the 151 cases, followed by Ogun with 26, and Kaduna with 17.
The rest are: “Osun – 10, Oyo – 8, FCT – 6, Rivers – 6, Plateau – 5, Akwa Ibom – 1, Ekiti-1”
As at the time of filing this report, the total number of discharged cases of COVID-19 is 51,614 while the infection has claimed 1113 lives.
