Who Is The 'Excited Former Classmate’ That ‘Accidentally’ Killed Arotile?” — Gbadamosi Asks NAF

Former Lagos governorship candidate Babatunde Gbadamosi has called on the Nigerian Air Force to reveal the identity of the “accidental” killer of Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile.

The NAF had said in a statement on Wednesday that Arotile, Nigeria’s first female combat helicopter pilot, was knocked down by a car driven by her former classmate who wanted to stop to greet her.

It said the ex-schoolmate, a female, was reversing her vehicle but mistakenly knocked Arotile down at the NAF base in Kaduna. She died from the head injury sustained from the accident.

In a tweet however on Friday, Mr Gbadamosi said the NAF is dishonoruing Arotile’s memory by withholding the identity of the “accidental” killer.

“Who is the ‘excited former classmate’ that ‘accidentally’ killed Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile?” he asked.

“Why is the Nigerian Air Force dishonouring the memory of Tolulope Arotile by HIDING the identity of her ‘accidental’ killer? Is her life not worth at least that?”

Arotile’s family has also called for probe on the incident.
