The office of Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation has debunked a false news being circulated by an online media platform that a property in Umuahia marked “EFCC UNDER INVESTIGATION KEEP OFF” belongs to its Founder, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.
In a reaction to the information in a telephone chat with IGBERE TV, the executive secretary of the foundation, Rev. Jemima Kalu described the news as “misleading, false and malacious.”
According to the executive secretary, “the news report is the handiwork of paid agents who are acting on behalf of their masters to blackmail Senator Kalu. The marked buildings by the EFCC is not Senator Kalu’s property and it has nothing to do with Senator Kalu.”
While calling on the general public to disregard the misleading news, Mrs Kalu called on the perpetrators of the evil act, to desist from tarnishing other people’s image for selfish goals.
The office, however stressed that it would seek legal action against the online media platform.
