Senior Pastor of the Household of God Church International Ministries, Chis Okotie, has debunked rumour that he died on Tuesday in Lagos.
His media manager, Pastor Ladi Ayodeji, in a brief statement on Wednesday said the man who died was a pastor in Delta also named Okotie and not connected to the Household of God Church.
Ayodeji said he spoke with Okotie at 11pm on Tuesday, adding that the rumour “is a figment of the imagination of some journalists for whatever ulterior motive”.
He, however, promised to issue a rebuttal after meeting Okotie.
The cleric recently disagreed with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) on the guidelines proposed for the re-opening of churches.
