Singer, Oluwafemi Oladapo, popularly known as Slimcase, has been criticised for making a joke about the death of Tina Ezekwe, the 17-year-old who was on Tuesday killed by a trigger-happy policeman in Lagos.
The 34-year-old had implied on Saturday on Instagram that he would rather focus on the death of American, George Floyd, another unfortunate victim of police brutality in the United States, and leave the issue of Ms Ezekwe’s death to local news platform, Channels Television.
Two policemen identified as Theophilus Otobo, an assistant superintendent of police and Oguntoba Olamigoke, a police inspector attached to Bariga Police Station, have been arrested in connection with Ezekwe’s death.
Twitter users have expressed outrage over Slimcases’s now-deleted comment.
