Niyi Oyetola, media aide of Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, has lost his wife, Haleemat, aged 39.
In a condolence message on Tuesday by his chief press secretary, Ismail Omipidan, the governor described Haleemat’s death as “shocking and painful”.
He said: “I commiserate with the family of Mr. Niyi Oyetola over the passing on of his wife, Mrs. Haleemat Oyetola. I received the news of her sudden death with rude shock.
“I urge the bereaved family to be consoled that it is only God that gives life and takes it whenever He pleases.”
Oyetola prayed for the repose of her soul and strength for the family to bear the loss.
Haleemat is survived by her mother, husband and children.
