No fewer than 788 almajiris have been sent back to their various home states by the Nasarawa State Government on Sunday, May 3, Igbere TV reports.
The state government decided to send Almajiris to their various states amid efforts by the government to stop the spread of the novel Coronavirus in the state.
Igbere TV gathered that the state Governor, Abdullahi Sule who supervised the deportation of the first batch of the Almajiris said the decision is in good faith and with no bad motive.
He added that the Almajiris were being sent back so their parents can take better care of them.
