Former Rivers State governorship candidate, Tonye Cole, has gone into self-isolation after his fellow traveller on a British Airways aircraft tested positive on their return to Nigeria.
A woman tested positive to the virus after the aircraft arrived Lagos on March 13.
Health officials had called on her co-travellers to self-isolate for 14 days.
In a post on social media on Wednesday, Mr Cole said he had nine days left to read, exercise, do more self-discovery and bond more with his wife.
โ#workfromhome #covid19Lagos So I was on the BA75 flight of the 13th from London on which a lady tested positive for #covid_19. We have all been asked by@LSMOH to #selfisolate for the health of ourselves and others,โ he said.
โโฆI have 9 days left to read, exercise, more self-discovery and deeper bonding with my sweetheart.โ
The victim, a 30-year-old Nigerian woman, is said to have observed self-isolation, developed symptoms and tested positive.
