BREAKING: Protests Rock MOUAU Over 55 Months Unpaid Allowances

There is an ongoing protest at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike (MOUAU) by the Varsity Staff.

Igbere TV learnt that the protest is as a result of unpaid Occupational Hazard Allowance (OHA) for 55 months.

Igbere TV gathered that due members of the National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT), members of the union decided to embark on the protest after the varsity Vice Chancellors refused to pay them their allowance.

The protesters described the allowance as those due entitlement and that every other university including MOUAU is paying until Prof. Francis Otunta came in as the VC.

“All efforts made to make him pay has proved abortive and the only option left is to abandon lectures and protest,”they said.
