Unidentified men have kidnapped a Catholic priest in Otukpo area of Benue State.
Rev. Fr David Echioda of Otukpo Catholic Diocese was abducted on his return from Sunday mass at Utonkon, Ado Local Government Area of the state.
Director of Information, Catholic Diocese, Otukpo, Rev. Fr John Okopopu, confirmed on Tuesday that the priest was returning from a missionary work when he was kidnapped.
“The people (abductors) are yet to contact the family or anyone,” he said.
Benue police spokesperson, Catherine Anene, has also confirmed the incident.
