Officers of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) in Lagos on Tuesday assisted a motorist whose Toyota car was on fire along Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island.
The RRS said in a tweet that the officers were assisted by other road users in putting out the fire.
The officers stopped the inferno using fire extinguishers.
The RRS also shared pictures of the incident on Twitter.
At the time of tweeting, the squad said emergency responders were en-route to evacuate the vehicle.
“RRS officers along Ahmadu Bello way, VI, assisting a driver whose vehicle caught fire in motion.
With the help of other road users, the flame was put out before it caused any more damage.
Emergency responders are en-route to evacuate the vehicle. #TheGoodGuys,” the tweet read.
