Nobody Should Place our Pictures Side by Side with Atiku in Billboard - S'East Govs

There is serious trouble within the camp of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the south East ahead of the 2019 general elections, Igbere TV has learned.
According to reports just coming into our newsroom, governors elected on the platform of PDP in South-East zone have resolved to adopt what they called “a cautious support” for the party’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

South East PDP Govs

An impeccable source close to one of the three PDP governors told Igbere TV on condition of anonymity that “even before the meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari as part of the members of the National Economic Council (NEC), the governors agreed to take a middle course in the forthcoming presidential election.”

The source added: “Part of the resolution of the governors is that they should not make financial commitment to presidential campaign of Atiku/Obi. They also agreed to ensure that there was no joint campaign promotional, especially billboards in their respective states.”

Igbere TV recalls that there has been tension within the party since Atiku announced ex Governor Peter Obi as his running mate, reportedly without due consultation with the PDP south East governors.
