BREAKING!!! Osun PDP Candidate Narrowly Escapes Assassination Attempt at Ikirun, Ede

As tension continues to build up ahead of the Osun state governorship election slated for this Saturday, September 22, 2018;  Senator Ademola Adeleke, the Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today reportedly escaped double assassination attempts by a whisker.

 

According to reports, the first incident happened at Ikirun and the second at Ede, both during his campaigns.

Eyewitness reports say in both cases, the dare-devil gunmen stormed the campaign grounds, shooting sporadically & attacking party members.

IGBERE TV learnt that at Ikirun, the campaign was cut short after the bus carrying the party’s candidate; the party chairman, Hon Soji Adagunodo and other leaders of the party came under heavy attack. Several other campaign vehicles were also vandalised.

The candidate also faced similar attacks while preparing to attend the rally at his hometown, Ede.

Thousands of party loyalists & voters had gathered waiting for both the candidate & star artiste, Davido.

As the candidate made to the rostrum alongside other leaders, gunshots rented the air, dispersing the crowd & leading to multiple injuries.

The candidate was reportedly whisked to safety & he is safe & secured according to the spokesman of the campaign, Olawale Rasheed.
