Eye witnesses  revealed that some of the victims have been rushed to hospitals in the local government, while some were taken to hospitals in the state capital, Gusau.

The Zamfara State Governor Abdulaziz Yari recently said that more people were killed in his state than in Benue, Taraba & Plateau States & charged his colleagues in the 3 states not to view the situation as ethnic or religious conflicts, but pure criminality.

While speaking at a town hall meeting on the fed govt’s measures to curb killings, Yari said:

“The number of people killed in Zamfara state outnumbered those killed in the three states combined and those responsible for the killings are somewhat professing the same religion with those being killed.”
