Report just reaching IGBERE TV indicates that uneasy calm has pervaded Kaduna state following the news making the round that President Muhammadu Buhari, PMB, has abandoned Kaduna state Governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai for Senator Shehu Sani as 2019 Governorship candidates of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, for Kaduna State.
Senator Sani had been with Buhari in Daura home town of the President since early morning of Thursday based on special invitation by the President, our correspondent has authoritatively informed.
According to NigerianPilot, prior to the time of filing this report, the president and Senator Sani boarded presidential plane to Abuja from Katsina State after the Sallah break, where Sani was allegedly hinted about the president’s plan to make him Governor of Kaduna State come 2019 under the ruling party.
It would be recalled that president Buhari recently raised-up the hand of Senator Shehu Sani publicly which confirmed the presidency’s long time plans in favour of the APC Senator for Kaduna Guber 2019.
It is also on record that Buhari was the person who symbolically raised-up the hand of Mallam El-Rufai in 2014, for governorship of Kaduna State, and cheered him to victory.
NigerianPilot reported that uneasy calm pervaded Kaduna immediately the news rented air that Buhari has finally dumped El-Rufai and endorsed Senator Shehu Sani for the number one job.
Sani, and El-Rufai have been at loggerheads since the early stage of the APC administration in Kaduna State bordering on issues many ascribed to El-Rufai’s obduracy on certain matters.
