Applauds as Benjamin Kalu X-rays Nig Oil & Gas, Commodity Market in Geneva (Photos)

The CEO of Bende Export-Import Limited, Barrister Benjamin Kalu who is currently delivering a keynote Address in Geneva has revealed the challenges in the oil and gas sector in Nigeria and how his company, has been able to tackle some of the challenges.

The business mogul who is also a House of Reps aspirant for Bende Federal Constituency, made it known that Nigeria and many African countries are known for commodity production but because of their interest in exporting oil they left their commodity in the hands of foreigners to export for them.

According to him, ” I belong to a group of company called ‘The SLOK Group’, we own the vessels that were carrying this oil for the oil companies, servicing companies.”

”Two years down the line, we saw that there was going to be a problem with the oil price dropping and that was going to cause a big problem for us and Nigeria equally”.

” So, we saw that there is a need for a change in the business for us to thrive. We asked, why do we have to leave our commodity in the hands of the foreigners, the India, Chinese, and the rest of them? Why can’t we go out from farming to processing them, packing them and exporting them”.

” To be able to do that, the balance score card became very necessary that we must look at the customers perspective, financial perspective, internal processes, learning and growth; we need to look into those four areas if we are going to have a balance score card to achieve what we want to achieve ”.

The Barrister also said that his organization started learning new things before they were able to thrive in converting the primary products into secondary products before making them ready for export.

The seminar on business leadership, innovation and Quality management expertise is recognised before 67 countries in Geneva and is scheduled to hold today being 14th April and tomorrow 15th April 2018.

Our correspondent gathered that highlight of the Geneva convention will be the presentation of Quality Award tomorrow to Bende Export-Import Limited in Gold Category by BID Group One in recognition of Kalu’s contribution in terms of leadership, quality innovation and excellence.

Benjamin Kalu had yesterday visited the United Nations headquarters where he had discussions with some diplomats ahead of today’s events.

It is worthy of note that Barrister Benjamin Kalu has once again put Bende on the global map. This recognition is yet another testimonial of Barrister Kalu’s exceptional qualities in human resource management, which when transferred to representing Bende Fed. Constituency, will most likely bring lots of joy to Bende people.
