Our attention has been drawn to various false and misguided publications conjuredy and disseminated by fifth columnists and their sponsors who are bent on destabilizing Abia State Polytechnic (Abiapoly) Aba for selfish political reasons.

We wish to state that the current management of Abia State Polytechnic has not employed any new staff, as falsely reported by those sponsoring the current industrial unrest in the institution.

The claim that the institution sacked some workers is also patently false as we are yet to complete the review of the report of the committee that reviewed suspected cases of falsification of age and other certificates by some workers.

While we are working hard to pay off the outstanding salaries owed workers, it is certainly not true that we have 11 months of unpaid wages in the school.

We wish to assure the government and people of Abia State that we are engaging the relevant unions to ensure an early settlement of the ongoing industrial dispute.

Thank you.
