N100m Interest Free Loan: Orji Kalu is the Epitome of Good Leadership - Monarch (Video)

There were tears of joy yesterday at Umunneochi local government area of Abia State when Orji Uzor Kalu’s foundation visited the community to help the needy with free interest loan.

There were tears of joy yesterday at Umunneochi local government area of Abia State when Orji Uzor Kalu’s foundation visited the community to help the needy with free interest loan.

 

According to the Executive Secretary of the Foundation, Rev. Mrs. Jemimah KALU, the program is designed to help petty traders struggling with lack of capital to boast their business in line with World Bank’s 2030 Goal for Poverty Eradication.

 

The first phase of the program will cover about 3000 beneficiaries receiving over N100,000,000 in interest free soft loans. Each ward will have between 25 to 35 beneficiaries each receiving minimum of N20,000.

 

Many people who got the loan expressed happiness and satisfaction and equally thanked Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu for the good gesture.

 

A disabled man who is a shoemaker, by name John Nwaofor who got the loan yesterday expressed happiness and satisfaction over what Orji Uzor Kalu is doing for the poor masses through his foundation and made a promise to pay the money back in due time. According to the man,

 

” My name is John Nwaofor, I’m here for the free interest loan which Orji Uzor Kalu’s foundation is giving to people and I am happy that I was finally given the money ”.

 

” I want to thank Orji Uzor Kalu for his kind gesture towards the poor masses, he is a truthful man who loves the needy and does not discriminate”.

 

”I am assuring this foundation that I will pay the money back to them and will not run”, he said.

Also, the Igwe of Agbala autonomous community, J. O. Okorie equally thanked Orji Uzor Kalu for his love, truthfulness, honesty towards his community. The Igwe recalled that it was during Orji Uzor Kalu’s tenure that his community got good roads, electricity, good water, etc.

In his words.

”My name is J. O. Okorie, the Igwe of Agbala autonomous community, I am someone who likes to speak the truth no matter what. In 2002, I was made Igwe of my community by Orji Uzor Kalu”.

”It was during Orji Uzor Kalu’s tenure that he constructed good roads for us, he brought electricity to this very community and water. It was during his time, that a man from this our community called Fabian Nwankwo became a commissioner of Abia State”.

”I am not praising Orji Uzor Kalu but am telling you all here the truth about his personality. I always tell my people to make sure that they get their permanent voters cards so that whenever Orji Uzor Kalu will be aspiring for any position, he will be the person that they will vote for because he is a kind, loving and truthfulperson ”.

”My people love him and we will always support him and make sure he wins any position he wants because his kind gesture cannot be overemphasized”, he said.
