Leadership by example has been accepted by many as the best form of leadership, this is because the person who is Considered as a leader prompts his followers to see through him rather than verbal prowess.
This is the case of the Man, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu who is recognized internationally as a great leader. His lifestyle and uniqueness is far beyond man’s expectations as his lifestyle preaches more message than his words.
A lover of his people and a business icon, OUK as he is popularly called believes in the togetherness of Nigeria and has zero tolerance for tribalism. This was seen countless times when he was the governor of Abia State. His administration saw people from different states taking up high responsibilities in the state. This is because OUK doesn’t look at your tribe or state but the problem and your capability to solve it.
One of those amazing features that makes OUK who he is, is the hosting of the Arewa youths leaders who recently gave the Igbo’s quit notice from northern states.
It will be recalled that since the quit notice was issued, no prominent Nigerian leader has made efforts to meet with the youths to discuss the issue, but OUK in his capacity has made such move which we know has given peace to a lot of homes who were worried since the notice was issued. When Nnamdi Kanu was unjustly held in the prison, OUK was the man that stepped forward and intervened. He did not only visit him in Kuje prison but also visited his parents and siblings in Umuahia.
To whom much is given, much is expected and we must give such respect and admiration for OUK for this great move and the achievement of the meeting.
Nigeria needs a man like OUK, who sees himself as a Nigerian and not an Igbo man, Hausa man or a Yoruba man.
We must face the fact and pray for men like OUK to lead Nigeria, this I believe will set Nigeria on the world map as a great nation, admired by all and boost the nations economy.
As we all know, OUK is not just a great leader in politics, but is also an icon when it comes to business.
