Report reaching our newsdesk indicates that there is palpable tension now within the presidential villa over Buhari’s health.
President Muhammadu Buhari had abruptly left Abuja on a medical visit to the United Kingdom a few minutes after sending a letter to the Senate requesting for a 10-day leave.
A letter read at the plenary of the Senate on Thursday had claimed the President was going on leave starting from Monday, January 23, 2017, but aides to the President were abruptly summoned to the airport today to see the President off sparking public concern that the president might be very sick.
Vice President, Osinbajo has however taken over as acting President pending when Buhari would be fit to return.
IGBERE TV had reported last year that President Buhari would be attending to medical issues in the UK that would require a long stay in the hospital.
