Report reaching Igbere TV newsdesk says the Enugu State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi summoned an emergency security meeting with the people of Agbogugu in Awgu Local Government Area, on Wednesday in the state.
This, followed an earlier report by Igbere TV that some youth in the Enugu called on the state governor and President Buhari to declare a state of emergency in Awgu Community over what they termed “security sabotage”.
Igbere TV reports there call for action by the youths came following the increase in criminal activities, kidnappings and killings in the Awgu Local Government Area of the state.
According to the youths, the criminal activities being carried out are being sponsored by enemies who are out to distract the government and put the in bad light.
Igbere TV gathers that present at the meeting were Ahmad Abdurahman, the new State Commissioner of Police (2nd right), E. A. Linkiyo, State Director, Department of State Services (DSS) (left), and Lt. Col. M. S. Muktar, the Commanding Officer, 103 Battalion, Nigerian Army, Enugu.
