BREAKING!!! Xenophobia: Rwanda, Malawi, DRC Withdraw From World Summit Forum

Following the recent xenophobic attack in South Africa, some countries have withdrawn from this year’s World Economic Forum holding in Capetown, Igbere TV reports.

The countries, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda and Malawi pulled out from the annual meeting taking place on Wednesday, Sept. 4, over the attacks going on in the host country, Igbere TV learned.

The World Economic Forum is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation. The Forum engages the foremost political, business and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.

The latest xenophobic attack began last week after a taxi driver was murdered by an alleged drug dealer in Pretoria, South Africa.

Speculations that the alleged killer was a Nigerian sparked protest, with South Africans looting and razing business centres owned by foreigners.

At least three Nigerians were said to have been killed in the process which began Sunday night, with scores reportedly injured.
