Officials of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) have allegedly killed a commercial motorcyclist in Kwande Local Government Area of Benue State.
Terhemen Tyavbi was, according to the police, shot when he attempted to stop policemen from arresting two persons in possession of illegal arms.
Mr Tyavbi was taken to the hospital after being shot alongside Ishima Iorhemen.
Tyavbi died at the hospital while Mr Iorhemen survived.
Benue police spokesperson, Catherine Anene, said on Friday that the victims were not deliberately shot by the SARS officials.
The victims hail from Liev 2 council Ward, Ikyurav ya district in Kwande LGA.
