N3 Billion Fraud: Presidency Speaks On HoS Oyo-Ita’s Resignation

The Presidency, on Monday, said it was yet to receive the retirement letter of embattled Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs Winifred Oyo-Ita, Igbere TV reports.

An online medium, TheCable, had reported on Monday that Oyo-Ita, in a letter forwarded to President Muhammadu Buhari, offered to proceed on terminal retirement.

But responding to a media inquiry from us, President’s Spokesman, Femi Adesina, said in a text message that there is no such letter in the presidency’s possession.

“We do not have such letter here, in the event that such a letter exists,” he wrote.

Igbere TV reports that the HoS is currently facing probe by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) following an alleged N3 billion contract scam linked to her.

She was absent at today’s presidential retreat for incoming ministers, which had other top government functionaries and permanent secretaries in attendance.

Reports has it that Mrs Oyo-Ita had been admitted at a private hospital in Abuja after she was grilled by the EFCC for complete four days.
