Two members of the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) have died in a road accident at Gobirawa village, Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The NYSC in Katsina has not provided the names of the victims.
However, they are believed to be a female from Akwa Ibom State and a male from Anambra State.
One of the survivors told Governor Aminu Masari that they were on their way to a wedding at a Catholic Church in Funtua when the accident occurred.
He said the vehicle hit a nearby tree due to the slippery road caused by heavy rainfall.
Masari was travelling to Danja for a funeral ceremony when he got to the scene of the accident.
The governor was said to have directed that one of the vehicles in his convoy be used to convey the corpses and the survivors back to Katsina.
