The Federal Government has adopted a name change on micro-blogging social media platform, Twitter, Igbere TV reports.
Igbere TV reports that the FG, which had @AsoRock as its handle until now, has now adopted @NigeriaGov as its official handle.
In a terse statement sighted by Igbere TV on Thursday, the FG said the new handle was adopted to more accurately the Nigerian government.
“Twitter Handle Change | From @AsoRock to @NigeriaGov, to more accurately reflect the fact that this handle represents, and exists on behalf of, the Federal Government of Nigeria”, the statement partly read.
