Residents in Agbarha-Otor community, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State are currently in panic as hoodlums broke into the grave of late business mogul, Olorogun Michael Ibru yesterday, Igbere TV reports.
According to reports gathered by Igbere TV, the incident occurred in the early hours of Friday prompt the authorities to restrict movement from 12a.m in the community.
Sources from the community disclosed to Igbere TV that the hoodlums in a failed attempt to steal the casket of the deceased fled after pouring acid on his grave which is located behind the Ibru Clinic.
Prof Sam Ibodje, the President General of the community and retired university don, while confirming the incident told Igbere TV that the matter has been reported at the Ughelli ‘B’ Division police station.
Agbarha-Otor is the country home of the Ibrus and plays host to the headquarters of 222 battalion of the Nigeria Army as well as the Michael and Cecilia Ibru University.
