A suicide attack carried out by two female suicide bombers in Mafa local government of Borno state late Tuesday night, left two people dead and four others injured.
Bello Dambatta, Director of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) confirmed the August 6 attack at Mafa which is the hometown of the state governor Prof. Zulum.
The injured victims were taken to Maiduguri specialist hospital where they are currently receiving treatment.
It was further learnt that the Operation Lafiya Dole personnel foiled a Boko Haram attack in Katori village on same Tuesday night.
Igbere TV gathers that the insurgents attempted to set the whole village ablaze in an attempt to loot food items. There was no casualty figure on both sides.
