A businessman, Yusuf Garkar-Bore was killed early sunday morning and his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Aisha Yusuf abducted by unknown gunmen in Gulma town of Kebbi state.
A reliable source and relative who prefers to remain anonymous told newsmen that the community was invaded by gunmen at about 2am and the home of 65-year-old Garkar-Bore was attacked as they shoot him in the chest while his daughter-in-law was abducted.
“Alhaji was shot several times in the chest; we took him to Argungu General Hospital for treatment but he was confirmed dead; he has been buried according to Islamic rites today,” he said.
The source also said no information had been received on the whereabouts of the daughter in-law.
“We do not know her whereabouts now because the kidnappers have not contacted the family,” he added.
