Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation, has reacted to reports that President Buhari may be considering the proscription of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria other wise known as Shi’ites, Igbere TV reports.
There have been rumors that the President might ban the Islamic movement following the bloody clash the members had with men of the Nigerian Police in Abuja on Monday July 22nd.
The protesting Shi’ites were demanding the release of their leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky who has been in detention since December 2015.Reacting via his tweets, Fani-Kayode is of the opinion that banning the group would be a big mistake.
