JUST IN: Buba Galadima Breaks Silence On Falling Out With President Buhari Over Ministerial Snub

A spokesman for the Atiku Campaign Organisation, Buba Galadima, on Monday denied falling out with President Muhammadu Buhari on grounds that he was not appointed a minister in 2015, Igbere TV reports.

Galadima used to be an ally of Mr Buhari.

The statesman made appearance at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal on Monday as the first witness of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, who are aiming to prove their case against Buhari’s victory at the polls in February.

Lead counsel for the respondents, Wole Olanipekun, asked: “You fell out with the 2nd respondent (Buhari) because he did not make you a minister in 2015.”

Galadima replied: “No. You should know that I fought all the previous governments since 1999 because of injustice.

“We made good promises to Nigerians, including justice, inclusiveness, and to secure the country, which he has failed to do. It has always being part of my characteristics to fight injustice.”

During cross-examination by counsel to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Lateef Fagbemi, Galadima said he was aware that there was no registered party called the Reformed APC, but maintained that he was still the chairman of the group.

“I’m still a member of APC. I have not been sacked. We are in court. I don’t want to be subjudice.

“I’m not a member of PDP, but we have a memorandum of understanding with the PDP to produce God-fearing, good and educated leader,” he said.
