A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted an application to list former minister of information and culture, Lai Mohammed, as prosecution witness in a trial of alleged misapplication of N2.5 billion Federal Government Digital Switch-Over (DSO) programme, Igbere TV reports.
Justice Folashade Ogunbanjo-Giwa granted the application on Thursday.
The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) had filed the application.
The commission is prosecuting the Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Ishaq Kawu, for alleged abuse of office and money laundering.
Kawu was slammed with a 12-count charge alongside the chairman of Pinnacle Communications Limited, Lucky Omoluwa, and the company’s chief operating officer, Dipo Onifade.
ICPC also seeks to call Shuaibu Sabo, a Bureau de Change operator, as witness in the case.
The case was adjourned until October 2 for continuation of hearing.
